Ponticeras sp. (Matern, 1884):   A 2.9" (74.7 mm.) fossil ammonoid weighing 6 ounces.
An Upper  Devonian age fossil ammonoid from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco.
This very hefty specimen was recovered and prepared in Morocco.
This is an example of Ponticeras Matern, 1929, Suborder Anarcestina Miller & Furnish, 1954, Family Gephuroceratidae Frech, 1901.
