Lemuroceras indicum (Spath, 1942): This is the first Lemuroceras specimen identified at Manzanita Lab. Since Maurice Collignon reported the genus as very prevalent, we expect to find more as we contnue work with this years acquisitions. This is a small 1.7 inch (4.4 cm.) very well preserved ammonite that shows some red "ammolite" highlights. An excellent specimen of the type.
Collignon decribes this ammonite in pp. 68-70 of his "Recherches Sur Les Faunes Albiennes De Madagascar, I. L'Albien D'Ambarimaninga, 1949."
