Diplomystus dentatus

Diplomystus dentatus Cope, 1877: A good example of the fossilization from the Fossil Lake lagerstätten.  This is a pretty Diplomystus .  The 4 inch (10 cm) fossil fish is on a 5.75" x 5.75" plaque weighing 1 pound 4 ounces.
The eye, gill cover, rib and fin detail of this obviously surface feeder is well preserved and clear.  An excellent collector's item or decorative piece.
