Brenham Pallasite Meteorite: A 36.5 gram thick slice of the famous Brenham Kansas pallasite meteorite. Approximate dimensions are 1.9 inches (48 mm) x 1.75 inches (45 mm) x .15 inches (4 mm).
The Brenham pallasite was recognized in Kiowa County, Kansas in 1882. The estimated total weight of this fall is about 4.3 tons. The strewn field has not yet been defined but certainly extends over several counties in Kansas.
This is an anomalous pallasite. That is, it has some properties that are distinct from the main group of pallasites.
