Manzanita Lab provides a safe source of geological specimens for the interested but relatively inexperienced would-be student or collector. Phil, the sole proprietor, trained in geology and mineralogy many years ago then pursued a lifelong career in electronics. With Manzanita Lab he returns to his early roots in the earth sciences. The specimens that you will find in these pages are items of interest and undoubted origin that we can offer at prices that are fair to both the buyer and Manzanita Lab. If a specimen doesn't meet those two specifications, you won't find it here. Member Geological Society of America.
ABOUT OUR SPECIMEN IDENTIFICATIONS:
Phil strives for correct specimen identification to the genus taxon. All identifications are done by him here at Manzanita Lab using our library of paleontological reference material.
We see our target audience as the beginning collector, middle school educator who wants "hands-on" specimens for related class work, or parent/grandparent desiring a unique inspirational gift for a young student. Be sure to add Manzanita Lab On-Line to your "Favorites" list because we will be progressively offering more fossils in the following months.
