Chinese fossil fish for sale. China has been at the center of paleontological news for several decades with a bewildering variety of fossils enhancing our knowledge of evolution almost weekly. There are considerable numbers of exquisite Chinese fossils available to the collector, many of which were shipped out of China without the needed export permissions. As Chinese fossils, legally obtained and affordable to the average collector become available, we will offer them here.
We begin with a small fish, Jianganicthys, an ancestral perch from the fresh water sediment deposits of Hubei Province, China.
Jianganicthys hubeiensis: Jianganicthys hubeiensis is newly available from China and adds an exciting new vertebrate species for the collector. These are Oligocene perch ranging in size from 5 to 7 cm. and are about as well preserved as the fossil fish from Wyoming's Green River Formation.
